The scene of a semitrailer truck rollover at U.S. 61 at Manning Avenue in Cottage Grove was re-opened to traffic this afternoon.

The truck, which was filled with propane, collided with another vehicle and rolled just before 9 a.m. Roads were closed for one mile in all directions as officials investigated a leak and attempted to right the tanker.

Minnesota State Patrol spokesman Lt. Eric Roeske said the roads re-opened by 3 p.m.

It was diesel fuel, not propane, that had leaked from the tanker, Roeske said. The area had to be closed in case there was a problem while crews worked to get the truck upright, he said.

Cottage Grove officials reported bringing two people to the hospital, and a trooper at the scene reported that there were no serious injuries, Roeske said.
