Arizona Truck Accident

Truck Rear Ends School Bus in Arizona

Four people, including two students, were transported to local hospitals Monday morning after a truck pulling a loaded trailer crashed into the back of a school bus in Mesa.

Mesa police said collision took place near 3400 E. University Drive about 6:40 a.m. The Desert Hills High School bus, taking students to a local charter school, was stopped to pick up students. It had its red lights flashing.

There were about 10 students on the bus when a Chevy 3500 truck collided with the rear of the bus.

Two students were transported to a hospital as a precaution after they complained of soreness. Both drivers also were taken to hospitals. The bus driver complained of back pain and the driver of the truck suffered a fracture to his leg, police said.

Neither driver was impaired, according to police who are still investigating the crash.
